I started rowing rather late as a Masters rower, having earlier been a US Sailing keelboat instructor. Currently, I’m a US Rowing certified Level 2 coach, as well as a certified erg instructor. Highlights of my rather brief rowing career include four medals at Masters Nationals in team boats, plus a fourth-place finish in a LW single where I rowed under 4 minutes. Coaching our ladies’ 8+ to a seventh place finish at the Head of the Charles in 2009 and earning a guaranteed entry for 2010 was also pretty sweet. I’m excited to be able to help the women’s racing team focus on technique, and am looking forward to exceptional team performances at the major races this year.

I’ve been part of PWRC for ten years. I was introduced to rowing by my daughter and her Woodbridge coaches back in 2000. The chance to compete and stay fit was a strong draw of the sport. However after eight years of rowing I decided to try my hand at coaching. Working with the Fitness rowers the last couple of years has been great-this is a really enjoyable group to coach. I’m looking forward to another year with Fitness rowing and PWRC. I’m currently US Rowing Level 2 certified. |
