ADULT NOVICE CAMP

Objectives: Prior to this program, an individual without any rowing experience had few options but to join our club as a novice for the entire season to see if they liked rowing. With everyone in the boat a novice, and each novice rower in the midst of the process of learning to row, it took a fair amount of time for an individual to truly experience rowing's potential.
Knowing the demands and responsibilities all adults have to juggle, PWRC established this "trial-run" program. Location: Oxford boathouse Duration: For two weeks, each Novice Camp boat of eight will go out on the water with a mixture of experienced and novice rowers. Rowing with the experienced rowers will allow the novices to leapfrog ahead in the learning process and gain a better feel of the potential that rowing offers. The Novice Camp program consists of six total sessions. 2024 Schedule May 21: 6:00-8:00 p.m. May 23: 6:00-8:00 p.m. May 25: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. May 28: 6:00-8:00 p.m. May 30: 6:00-8:00 p.m. June 1: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Prerequisite: None 2024 Cost: $150 |
